Add a Favicon to WordPress Admin Panel

Often times, I like to add the favicon I’ve created for the front-end of my clients’ websites to the backend of their site as well. Doing so is actually really simple; just a matter of a small snippet of code in your functions.php file.

// Add favicon to your WordPress dashboard
function custom_favicon() {
	echo '<link rel="Shortcut Icon" href="/wp-content/themes/THEME FOLDER/images/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />';
}
add_action('admin_head','custom_favicon');

Just change the theme folder name to whatever is relevant to your site and make sure the icon name is correct.
